MAURICIO UMANSKY is founder and CEO of The Agency, a high-profile, luxury real estate brokerage representing clients and properties worldwide, and considered one of America’s most successful and renowned real estate agents. The Wall Street Journal recently recognized Mauricio as the #1 top-producing real estate agent in all of Southern California and #3 in the U.S. Over his career, he has been involved in over $2 Billion in transactions.

In the 3 years since launching The Agency, Mauricio has grown the company from its four founding partners to more than 100 active agents with offices in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Marina Del Rey. In its first full year of business The Agency grossed over $4 Billion in sales.

Mauricio is a member of The Young Presidents Organization (YPO), a highly influential and world-renowned business networking organization connecting leaders and CEO’s of major companies and serves as a board member for Prestige MLS, an exclusive business association dedicated to serving the luxury real estate market in Europe and throughout the world.

BENY ALAGEM is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alagem Capital Group and Oasis West Realty LLC (OWR), an asset management firm that owns The Beverly Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. Throughout his distinguished four-decade career, Alagem has been at the forefront of significant endeavors in the fields of cutting-edge technology and high-end, luxury real estate— establishing him as one of the world’s premier business leaders. 

 

Alagem is the force behind bringing the Waldorf Astoria to Beverly Hills, marking the first time the iconic hotel brand will have a presence on the West Coast. The state-of-the-art, luxury property is set to debut in 2017 and will set a new standard for elegant design and unparalleled hospitality. The new 170-room hotel will be located at the historic corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards, adjacent to The Beverly Hilton Hotel, purchased by Alagem in 2003, who led its $90 million renovation.

 

Outside of hotel properties, Alagem has owned and managed various other real estate in California including commercial office and industrial properties in Century City and San Fernando Valley along with a high-rise residential tower in West Los Angeles. In addition to his work in Beverly Hills, in 2006 Alagem purchased the Hilton Los Cabos Beach and Golf Resort and sold the asset in 2013 after an extensive renovation.

 

In 1986, before making his leap into real estate, Alagem co-founded Packard Bell Electronics, a personal computer company. Serving as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for twelve years, Alagem played an integral role in growing the company to one of the largest personal computer vendors and netting $6 billion in annual revenue.

CHARLIE ROSE is a Senior Director of Canyon Partners LLC. Mr. Rose is responsible for originating, underwriting, structuring and executing direct and indirect real estate debt and equity transactions for the firm. Prior to joining Canyon, Mr. Rose worked for The Marcus & Millichap Companies (TMMC) in the Capital Markets and Multifamily Acquisitions groups.

 

Prior to TMMC, Mr. Rose was Vice President at Rosen Consulting Group, where he was responsible for national real estate market research, covering the office, retail, industrial, and residential sectors. Mr. Rose is a graduate of Stanford University (B.A., English) and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (M.B.A., Honors, with a concentration in Real Estate). He is an active member of the Urban Development Mixed Use Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), a member of the board of directors of the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust, and a member of the Building Hope board of the City of Hope.
